Bryan Hitch To Leave Marvel After Ten Years
The prolific artist best known for his work at Marvel on The Ultimates has announced that he will be leaving the publisher after a decade of service and promises a big announcement in the next few days.
Since November 28, artist Bryan Hitch has been promising big changes in 2012 via his Twitter account and on December 3 began a 31 day countdown to some sort of announcement. While there’s still a few days to go until that deadline, he yesterday revealed that he will be leaving Marvel Comics after working for the publisher for over ten years.
“In two days time, an amazing decade at Marvel closes for me,” Hitch told his followers on the social networking site. “What a wonderful time to have joined the party. Very proud and honored.” He went on to thank those he’s worked with over the past decade and confirmed that he has finished work on the Age of Ultron/Ultron War story with Brian Michael Bendis.
Rumours are now running rampant as to what his announcement may be, with many speculating that it’ll be some sort of creator owned project (possibly with Mark Millar) or even a shock move to DC. Stay tuned and we’ll be sure to keep you updated.
