Universal Acquiring Millar’s “War Heroes”
Universal Pictures is pursuing the film rights to Mark Millar and Tony Harris’ comic book “War Heroes” reports Heat Vision.
The story will revolve around a group of ordinary soldiers given superpowers on the battlefield by the US military. When the group goes AWOL to form their own criminal enterprise, one man is left behind and sets out to take them down.
Sony Pictures acquired the rights in 2008 through producer Michael De Luca but that time has now elapsed. De Luca is still set to produce.
Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer will pen the script once they finish writing the “Doctor Strange” script for Marvel Movies. Chris Morgan and Dana Brunetti will co-produce.
