Jason Statham To Star In “Hummingbird”

Jason Statham is set to star in the $20 million action-drama “Hummingbird” for IM Global and Shoebox Films says The Hollywood Reporter.

The story centers on an ex-Special Forces soldier looking for a way out of London’s criminal underworld. A twist of circumstance allows him to assume another identity and act out his vengeance through his redemptive justice.

“Eastern Promises” scribe Steven Knight will make his directorial debut on the project which will begin shooting early 2012. Paul Webster and Tracey Seaward will produce.
